Heyz.... nope i have not neglected this blog lol. Many many many things happened since i last wrote. I got attached, got my dream job and am flying already!! Lotsa pics u can see on my facebook. How time flies huh.. I'm very grateful for everything that had happened.

But like a good reality drama, Something's bound to creep up to raise the ratings. I kinda woke up from my Cloud nine dream recently. Today actually. Not all's perfect. Someone let the dust run from under the carpet.

Yes life's one tough nut. I said it earlier and am saying it now. Even if u built a titianum armour around you over time, the impact still hurts as bad as the first one time. You guys know what i'm saying?

Yeah! Gathering all the good(Sinfully good!) food that fortunately, did not escape from my bite! Well well... where do we start...

Had Long John's Breaky last Sat with the Sengkangers, yup before the GYM sesson. Guilty before the healthy! Not bad... if you like lots of toasted roti. The bread is thick, like your good old American Breakfast in a sandwich.

After work on a Thursday, Rog and I decided to head on for Punngol Nasi Lemak as we had a bad craving. When we turned up, it was freaking closed!!! Many non-regulars(that's us, seldom eat nasi lemak de :P) we saw heading towards the kopitiam were similarly punked. Worry not, coz we found so many other great food! Hokkien mee was great! Wet, runny and shiok chilli! Do try the dumplings and rice roll from the noodle store. The dumplings were boiled and dripped with sweet sauce, topped with "heibe hiam" chilli, very different way of serving :) Rice rolls were not badz.

Just 2 days back, our cravings were still there! We decided to head back down again(oh dear! lol). We could tell that they were open from the snaking queue!! Man.... so many people wanna get fat on Nasi!

Waiting patiently and tahaning the fragrant rice aroma was torturous! Finally we settled on our very own plate of Punggol Nasi Lemak! From these pics you can see we are animals!(rog having 2 wings.. 2 wings!!). Satisfication guranteed.

And just yesterday, went to Beach Road army market with Kenneth to makan. The "healthy" fried kuey teow with their layer of steamed kai lan covering the guilt was still very good! I usually have the Planet Pasta's pastas as they are cheap and hotel-grade, but sadly closed that day. Topping it off with the Ah Balling's tang yuans, it was a good Monday, xept for that sleepy head! :X

HEHE lol Just had dinner at Hougang ya'll!! Just nice for an update! There's a really cheap and good western food near the interchange. Rog had a Sirloin Steak while i had fish n chips! The steak was topped with fried garlic (nastily good!) while mine was good old FnC :)

And not forgetting Rojak!! :P

Today was the day, when my dear dad took the first step towards modernism. Yup, no one's too old to play Viwawa! And you better know what that is!(go google) Previously, i was teaching my mum how to play this online mahjong game. From the basics; like using the mouse, double-clicking(YES you folks don't know how fortunate you are to know how to double-click!!!!!) to opening browsers to enter the webby... now my mum is quite a pro!

My dad must have been itching abit since he saw her playing almost every night in the living room, and RIGHT now my mum is teaching him LOL Earlier i was showing my dad how to use the mouse and look at the cursor, how funny it was for him to search for the white arrow on the screen!

I must say i can be the most patient and impatient nut to be in this planet! Yep that's true, i can say the same thing 1000 times to someone who geniuely wants learn, but i can't stand waiting in the queue at a fast-food counter where a couple in front of me are "troubled" with what to order! Nuts these people! Sheesh!

Well... i always believe being nice will bring you somewhere someday, eventually. Even if others take advantage of you(often the case). I have no regrets. Just don't underchange us too often. Well, my dad just "Huo" his first online mahjong game! SWEEEEETTTT!!!

Which means i gotta get another lappy soon :S

Had 2 cakes for this cowday. This one is the "adult" version! The Lycee martini Cake! Very yummy, and potent :P The other was an adorable Chocolate ice cream cake! (will post it soon).

Hehe had my cowday over 2 days. First day was with the lethal weapon.. Alochol!!! People here looked pretty much drunk! I wanted something homely, and laid-back and "family-like". So Lena was kind enough to lend her place, where we made dinner (Pasta, wings, butter-garlic mussels, finger bites, fruit fondue, alochol!) and people could just enjoy together :)

Day 2, with the usual suspects.. Hope they enjoyed the little gathering :) Will meet up the rest soon! :s

Sushi day with Kenneth :) haven't had jap food in awhile! And once we start, it became a feast!

Ichiban Rocks!! Ok.... me managed to get into SIA, after the third time. The medical check up was a nightmare, apparently the doc thinks i have irregular heartbeat! So i went to SGH, did the ECG scan and thankfully, it was fine :) Let's hope all things go well *cross fingers Tell you the good news soon !

Lena seen here taking a moment before the run, at the entrance of KPE. There were music, people conducting warm-ups, kids, and there were aunties. quite alot of them lol. Loads of them.

Gosh. Yep.

Me after the tunnel run. LOl. A little breathless, felt that the tunnel was pretty stuffy and humid in some areas. Luckily they turn on the ventilation fans. Besides the lack of oxygen and someone fainting( a photo crew and not runner), everything was pretty cool! Free goodie bag too!

Lena, feeling great, and didn't complain about the stuffiness! Maybe ladies know a thing or two more than guys regarding "stuffiness" lol We did a rather good 10km under 1hr 6 mins. Cheers!!!
And just when i thought i have enough marathons for the year, decided to take up Terry Fox Run for Hope with Kenneth.. Faints!!!

Last weekend was another "Healthy Lifestyle" affair. Finally(Yes finally) went to the Hilltop walk at Mount Faber lol! Followed by the KPE run :P Meet up with Kenneth, another Nature freak like me :P, and we headed for the little hike! Thankfully, it wasn't raining anymore, and the weather was surprising good!

Went Astons with Roger at Tampines. Yup, not at Katong but a little Kopitiam in a quiet part of Tampines! Have never tried their western food before, but it's pretty good and reasonably priced... Comes with the main and 2 sides. I had their signature Lemon-lime Chicken chop while Roggie had Sirloin steak (act Atas!) MUNCH!!

Sunday, finally a sunny day :) All smiles.. went to tan in the morning with Rog. Felt like the care free old days :P Took a bus after to Bugis to run some errands. Have been taking quite a bit of buses lately. Starting to appreciate them! The sights and sounds in the NEL are incomparable to what springs on you along the bus route. Like this cute signage around Geylang. Sounds so right yet wrong.

Had Selegie Chicken rice for lunch.. along Parklane center area.

Gosh! We ordered half a chicken and finished it!

Some sights and sounds(imagine them) during dinner with mum n pa in Chinatown.

Those were the days when, as a kid, you eagerly choose your fav lantern to "show off". So many choices now!

I tell you, i may seem like some Chinatown Spokesboy, but i just love that place. Have been there since young, eating porridge on sunday mornings, "playing", to working there! Gosh! Almost like soulmates!

How can we forget that every happy meal in Chinatown ends with Durians! YES YES lol

In my never-ending quest to look(sometimes to the point of hunting) for THE one, i also have another quest wo. That is my strong appetency for cute animals! LOL no Im not some sick fellow, just that i like to keep pets :) Currently replenishing my marine tank after a crash few months back, decided to head to Seletar Farmway. If you have been to Pasir Ris Farmyway, you might think that is ULU. But nothing can compare to Seletar!!

Imagine traveling back to the 1900s, and mostly all around you is untouched jungle. Spent an hour locating the pet farms(the rest were foreign workers' residence.. scary!) Would be a good idea to drive instead. Kanna bitten by mosquitoes some more! Those who wanna experience the army life in the jungle, can try venturing here :)

Finally i found a road which had rows of fish farms. With names like Seaview Aquariums, Ocean Pte Ltd, and stores with Seahorses and corals as logos, i thought at least some should have marine fishes. But to my horror, none even had a tiny drop of salt water!!!! (Maybe they do.. for treatment of sick fishes.. but still!!!!!!). All i saw were jiggling fat goldfishes and freshwater species.

So much for good co-relation in branding. I sadly headed back (busily scratching legs and face). Still trust chinatown fish shop better! :)

The past 3 months, could have been hell. But i flipped it around, somehow. Promises were broken(and my part.. as usual my naive self! Hmph) rules were changed, and everything was as hay-wired as one wouldn't want it to be.

No pay for 3 months can really change someone. But it taught me how to survive. Like a hostage in a jungle, you SOURCE for ways of survival. The hunter becomes more alert, less forgiving.

I think i did smiled lesser these days, but my brain functioned more. Flexiblity (work-wise lol) has reached an all time high. When the grass withers, YOU move ahead. Some may stay and replant the seeds. But the rain may never come.

The saying is true, you have to kill a part of yourself sometimes, for the better part next time. Every time a hurdle surfaces, i tell myself there are worst things out there. And you face it head on. You should too :) It's worth every invisible penny.

Somehow hor, everytime i work under someone, it doesn't really works well. Maybe i should venture some business.... any ideas? Currently working at a boutique in Chinatown (YES my Jia Xiang!!!) maybe for another month or so, decided to head towards relations :)

hehe... some updates of my cam whore side :P

YES. I have not posted for like.. 10 years??!! Nah its just 2 months.

You know.. when im happy or sad i would do the postings. But when im really happy OR sad (or both.. depends) i wouldn't be bothered to pen anything sometimes.

Now, this period, i don't know whether to call it "rage of emotional regression" or "under-developed orgasmic syndrome", if you know what those meant :P

One dear friend told me earlier that me... in a relationship... tends to demand more from the other party after a certain period of courting, or "seducing" or "extended flirtation" (Please ignored my excessive explanations :S)

I mean, personally. after a certain period, i would expect the person to further it out in a relationship. However, certain times, it wouldn't happen, maybe due to no connection, no "click. Then we will drift. I think, personally, i expect things to flow smoothly MOST of the times. Which, obviously, doesn't happen!!!!!

Flipping through my mental year book, i realized i'm more deeply hurt or affected by those relationships that ended abruptly, those that were pretty short(like dates, flings u know those little juggles). And oh dear, there's one that's gonna be imprinted into the book pretty soon.

Maybe coz it ended so suddenly, no given reason, even though everything seems to connect. Yes i used the world "seems", coz its seen in my world of view. Dear everyone out there, Sometimes its just much nicer of us to tell the other party whether we love them, like them, or just wanna flirt with them, in the face. YES. I know thats pretty impossible! Even i cant do that sometimes. But that's just one of those fitted along the wish lists, hoping one day it will come true we will sin no more.

HMPH. Just a spat of unanswered matters in my mind. I need answersssssssssssssss. OK, give me a week. Anyways, i left my job. OH MY GOSH. Yes i did. And im pretty over, walking with my hands. :) im still smiling, its obstacles we must face in order to be a stronger man that we can be.

And it's ok to feel weak sometimes, its when we take a little break :P

Went to Pasir Ris Pet farm recently. Pets galore... GALORE . Past by this little corner of the farm and show many dogs in an enclosed area. Most were bigger than the usual puppies for sale, there was one doggie who seemed to have an infection on one eye. I think these dogs might be ones that are adoptable. Somehow their eyes filled me with so much intense feelings. they don't bounce and jump eagerly towards you. Instead, they approached slowly, quietly, almost remorsefully. The quietness was that intense. Wish i could adopt them :( Decided not to buy new "puppies" when i get the chance. And you should too.

Saw this little creature at the marine stalls. Little cuttle fish can really change their body color in lightening speed!

Bubble-eyed goldfishes. It's amazing how humans can breed fishes till like these.

Had dinner last weekend at this little jap place called "Oshya" (Can't remember the name). pretty popular place, amongst the locals and the Japaneses crowd. Usually crowded in the evenings, and people are willingly to brave the smell of the badly ventilated store to munch on their food! This was their set meal, huge serving good enough for even 3! Comes with gyozas!

Just met up some folks for dinner in town. Edwin, Dave at HK cafe chilling :)

Sometimes, when we get hurt, we pat ourselves on our backs, treating this as an experience gained, a lesson learnt. That you will be a stronger, new you.

Often a times, as we walk along the beaten path towards that light(at the end of the tunnel :P), we unknowingly become the same vulnerable self we were running from. The cheated gets cheated again, or becomes the cheater. Falling for the same mistakes again, even if you just made it yesterday! I, unsurprisingly, fall for the same mistakes. Sometimes, it's so obviously ahead, yet i still crash it head on haha!

Being one of those who fall in love too easily, i have my fair(or overloading) share of heartaches. I do laugh when i think of those times i cried over people who didn't deserve me crying.. HMPH!

So, after each tear i shed, i told myself that i will never be so dumb again. Haha! Maybe i should have used a better word than "dumb", or a simpler one. Before i knew it, i'm falling to trap 113 again!

It's like a revolving life cycle. Buddhists believe that humans will relive(reborn) their life cycles till they become "enlightened". And maybe there's really a truth in it. You keep committing, cause you're not learning. Hey! I got a great quote! No one said it would be easy, but i believe it isn't that hard either :) Keep rolling friend.

A cat and mouse tale. The hunter becomes the hunted. Twitching with anxiety, yearn and mate, the cat reflects a sudden brake. What do we think this is? 2 folks with uncommon ideas become a unit of hope. The hope so fragile and might, torn and gone with the thinnest wind.

And my dear hopeful lies not within, but trails that wind. Craving and hunger becoming so stale. Is that the vision? Depicting the tender bond on others? Battered and beaten like a seasoned player? Will hope be there once more? I do hope, that hope will come, with faith and trusting.

Though, dear one, one does good repays none the same for one who does damp things. An angel battered will paint a world of bliss, only when she's given. While the red one paints pleasure, all so miserable not to with held.

Labour 's day eve, a group of us headed to Mambo. Braving the retro beats, mass crowds of mainly young girls acting cool who ironically have the same hairstyle aka Amy winehouse, it was pretty boring affair.

Nobody's too strong or too weak to be their own superman/superwoman. The strength to overcome all adversities is actually within ourselves. But do we tap it right?

Even the toughest are allowed to weep sometimes. It's not a sign of defeat, never should you think that. It just means that you are human :) Let it flow like the floods of a monsoon, coz what happens next, life sprouts back on. And then, with a clearer mind and heart, we move on.

A common human is not too common when we think it not. Feelings we expressed are often the same; happiness, sadness, joy, regret etc. But how we deal with it, is another matter. I did felt pain, literally heart-pain when my ex left without a reason. That would have been the worst feeling ever. I remember moments when i cried, wanting to shout, but ended up speechless... The pain in my heart just couldn't come out. My heart ached badly.

Thankfully but slowly, time eased it away. Nothing instant, not like a stain remover. But gradually, patiently. When it occurs to someone else, we often feel their pain too. Recently , Straits Times reported how people are increasingly obsessed with IT(Impulsive use of the internet, msging, phone, lappy) . Time really flies; whether they were good or bad, fun or mad, it slowly sneaks out of your bare hands. Literally, with the blink of an eye, it's April!! I have shifted to a new office, Mariah came out with her new album(regardless of relevance) and 1/3 of this new year that i welcomed so warmly has went by.

However, these few months that i have experienced(or suffered), I learnt more things that i had the previous few years combined. Me, often being more of a thinker, the revolutionist, the balancer(Libra traits :P) should pretty well write a book about human emotions. You know, it was reported that some people have a higher ability in one of their 5 senses. Like some people hear sounds and they see colours. Hahha! No kidding!

I think my special sense might be "feel". I can feel people beyond the "basics". Still remember Mimi my little DWARF rabbit? Yes, she's good but totally picky lady sometimes. Yeah, whenever she's throwing a tantrum, be it biting the cage wires etc, i can "feel" her emotions and when i reciprocate, like petting her sometimes, she would stop immediately. This too, applies to humans. Not that it works everytime! If it did , i would be some billionaire's wife!! :p

Earlier in the evening, My dad and i were fixing a faulty light tube in my room. I must say, the lighting contractor did a horrenous job previously!! Some parts were stuck to the ceiling with double-sided tape! we took turns cranking our necks to attach some wire that had disconnected. talk about family bonding :)

When we were finally done, after dad's countless times to ask me to be careful, i found out that i had a close shave with electricity. Apparently when i was young(and naive), i was doing something, like connecting a plug, and i touched the "sensitive" areas, which electrocuted me! It was so bad that i flew onto my bed, which might have been a few feet away, and the whole house black outed!

Funny how i cant remember any of it, and i'm super lucky to survived! Phew :)

Journey to the EAST PT 3 (Again)

With suggestion from Lena, we went to Geylang again. This time, we indulge in the age-old Fav, Teochew porridge!

After searching high and low through the sleazy streets, we managed to find the stall we were looking for, with only the clue that its opposite a supermarket (??).

Rog can't wait to tug! Ordered some rather un-teochew porridge dishes(Prawn balls, Meat rolls etc) LOL Partly coz most on display were fatty meats!!

Pretty hungry myself! Well the verdict? So-so with so-so pricing. The stall men kept promoting their fish dishes, which should be their "killer" sale(meaning expensive). Din order though. The salted vegetables were good :)

Wanted to head to Cosy Bay at kallang, which i have never been to. But upon arriving, what greeted us was an empty, dark place. It's closed down! Heck, decided to head to Brewerks along the Indoor Stadium :) Been wanting to try their "famous" brews!

We digged their fruitbrews!!! Had Strawberry that night with Breand n butter pudding :P YUMPretty red folks!

YES. This delightful little bun is called the Semla. It's a Swedish dessert eaten during the weeks to Good Friday. Ikea is serving them till Easter($3.50 ea). Saw it on an ad in 8 days(YES) and dashed down to try. I love it so much coz the fluffy bun is stuffed with crunchy almond paste(!!!!) , topped with creamy whipped cream! YEs it's freaking sinful and you can only have a mouth-ful!

So long we have been eating coconut nasi lemak, from Changi village to Punggol to Yishun.... So here's something new.. Pandan Leaf nasi lemak!! Situated at the wet market/hawker opposite Tanjong Pagar MRT, this store demands attention(in a gd way!). If you come later then 1pm, you can forget about eating. Expect long queues and some will tabao over 20 packets!! It's freaking cheap at $2.50 per plate too!!!!!

This is their standard plate(YUMMM) with a crispy-skinned drumstick!!! It's kinda healthier choice too (i think LOL), since they use pandan instead, equally fragrant. Eating this at P. nasi lemak branch will set you back to $4.50++ But here, it's just $2.50 :) Start queuing!!

Yep, there we go again haha! This time we headed to a place that has good food and chicks!! And then some Ducks!! LOL Yes... those "seasoned" players will know it's Geylang i'm talking about. There were days where i would be singing "Geylang sebaduk Geylang~~~" and now I'm there! (Guess it's Faizah's hometown too? lol)

Roger has been a Pro-player in Geylang, for the food that it is! With his expert guidance, our otherwise bored Sat night became a truly wholesome experience :P First stop! CHOW TOuFU!

The Big Signage welcomed us in... though me and Marcus never tried it before, Rog commented that the tofu smells of... SHIT.

The quiet store didn't stink, thankfully hehe.. and we waited. When the guy sitting next to our table got served his tofu, i could really smell the stench!! Somehow, i don't know why i felt it smelled pretty ok...LOL Exotic even. Just like how some people hate the smell of durians.

Finally ours came and we can hardly wait to brave ourselves!!(Not after taking some pictures :))

Munch!

The taste? Pretty juicy tofu! Goes well with the chilli sauce. But you gotta quickly get pass the smell first, if not your brains will start imagining real shit (wahha!) and you will not want to bite! PLease do try the duck biscuit too! Yummy yummy yummy! It's like fried pancake stuffed with roasted duck meat. Still thinking of it though :P

Next stop, Hokkien Mee! After walking along the same street, i realized that every kopitiam table that has an uncle, will surely be accompanied by some Chinese women. Maybe it's the must-have accessory in this area? hehe

This particular Kopi shop serves very good fried prawn mee. ONe plus point is that the prawns were really quite sizable and you can "taste" the wok in the noodles, which means that they were well-fried. Fast-serving and good!

The satay over here is CHEAP. Now you know good and cheap food got to really hunt around. Geylang is actually quite convienent, just that it is super sleazy, with uncles chatting up with any girl they think is a "service provider". Girls just have to act butch lo LOL.

Growing boys need lotsa love.... and more FOOD. Haha! Not slowing down, we headed to the fruits area to have durians!

After desserts, what's next? MORE desserts!! We ended up tabaoing the famous Rochor Bean curd home, though i was pretty bloated by then :S While heading to the main road, we came across this little pet shop of... HOrrors. Yes, the shop had this huge glass tank with fishes you never knew existed!

Yep yep... Guess what greeted me one faithful morning, 14 feb to be exact. Yes! A Bouquet of roses!! It was my mum who found it, lying on our front door. Accompanied by an unwritten card, only i knew who sent it to me. My mum seemed more excited than me, asking who the heck would send me flowers, and horrors! Not writing "her" name! Later at night, she jokingly asked if it was a guy who sent me, i had to brush it off saying were my colleagues. Wish she knew :P

Amidst the stalls of shouting Ah bengs, promoting their "Specially Imported" Taiwanese Mua chees, busy shoppers and pretty lost-looking tourists in Chinatown, there lies a quiet stall that looked like time stood still for them since the 40s.

Yep, this is the stall. Selling leafy vegetables on a simple setting. The thing that stood out was their "2 dollars" signage, which i guess was the only thing that should have changed(could have been 20 cents last time :P)

IN a dog-eat-dog world, where vicious is the new generous, everyone is their worst enemy. Especially in the industry that im working in, no amount of stitches can save your back from bleeding(Ok, technically speaking= back-stabbing). Thankfully, my close colleagues are human, not sure about the rest though.

Being good, patient, willing and forgiving sometimes lead us to noway. Every hero, every winner, every conquerer, every mother-fucker(ops :P) has one thing in common. They bled to win. Their desire is so strong, killing is not a feeling. Every successful person works like an eagle; They see, they aim carefully, and they strike immediately for the kill.

No hesitations, no procrastinations, just one swift decision. Not everyone works like this. Many times we tend to be the doves, flapping our white feathers in the name of peace, joyous and contented. There's nothing wrong with it. Just that in this world, where "one is never enough", we will become extincted if we don't "buff" up our emotional values. One's desire needs to be strong to sustain it through the end. It's tough love, but every bleeding step will earn you an amour.

OKz. Go figure :) On to happier things. Chinese New Year is coming. Festive as it sounds, my room is still messy!! Gotta quickly dump all the unwanted things in a cupboard before my cousins come over pretty soon!

Its quite surprising that i started this blog in 2005. I pretty much grew my "outed" years in here! LOL. Not that i'm loud and happy or anything la, i'm still the shy boy everyone knew way back then :P, but much prettier ba! Wahah!

Went to a cattery with Lena yesterday at Ponggol. Yes Ulu Ponggol. The owner practically devoted like 2/3 of the house to foster cats!. In the living room, in the kitchen in the bedroom, outside the garden, were plenty of meows and mini roars. There were quite a few visitors, including this lady with an annoying "act-British" accent then she can jump in and out of.

Love is subjective./?/! Who can answer? Many times we humans seek for this little being called love, over high seas or over the internet. Some gave up along the way, while others search endlessly, but happily, knowing that one day love will come to.

What made me talk about this, was just a little harmless question asked by my friend. I told him i was visiting my cousin who was hospitalized, and whom i actually cooked for her previously at her home. He then asked if we were very close. i couldn't answer then. You mean... care and love is judged by the closeness between 2?

Love comes in many forms. Infatuation, objective etc.. One kind i believe is the hardest to seek, which is unconditional love. So what does unconditional love means? Loving without biasness and to everyone. One example would be a mother's unconditional love for her child. It may seem all Mother Theresa, but sometimes we do have to think further.

As i was saying, in fact, me and my cousin weren't very close at all. Previously, we only met during family gatherings, which is a few times a year. I only remembered the times when i stayed over at her place and we had fun together with her sis, when we were little kids. Maybe all those sista love got into me :P Kiddin! (speak:gay!)

Only when i started visiting her last few months at home when she was sick where we got closer. I listened and encouraged her, not because we are besties or something owed. I just did out of concern, the best way i could provide. Sometimes, it kinda unexplainable. I guess no humans live alone.

Thinking through, i feel we get absorbed over too much "surface" things, making oneself happy(i'm guilty too). We always wait to recieve before we even consider giving. I know, it's never easy trying. We get hurt, betrayed or taken for granted. We feel that way cause we don't feel appreciated. But all we have to know, if that we tried our best, our hearts feel happy, and we forget more easily.

Before i could even answer my friend, he continued mumbling how he got over his previous date now that hes got a new one, and how the world feels so much happier. Happier.

Went Toa Payoh earlier to have breakfast with my Si Mei(Yumin). She live in a pretty old estate which reminded me of where i used to live(Serangoon). Had what she proclaimed as the Malaysian style Wanton Mee at her neighborhood market. It costed only 2 bucks! Cheap and good :) I can't really taste the diff between local and JB stlye..... just that they added shredded chicken into it. YUM.

Was taking the bus home when it passed by my old neighborhood, Serangoon. This blue building used to be besides my school(St Gabs Pri). My mum used to work there as an operator. There were times when some school mates and i would head to their canteen to makan illegally. Well, school rules state that we are banned from going in, but obviously no one cares lol. I remembered how we sneaked in once to eat and when we were leaving, the security guard tried to catch us! We ran like clumsy little pigs, heavy bags and files threatening to spill, but luckily, that old fellow couldn't ran far :)

These days there are so many HK cafes sprouting out. I still prefer Xin Wan though. Well, partly coz the manager at one of the branches saw my colleagues and i dining there so often... she gave us discount!!! Yes, i'm the discount queen remember :) Heres the prawn paste chix and pork chop burger... gd!

Theres the other new HK cafe opened at Bugis. Try their desserts and buns, not badz. Somehow the staff there makes you feel like you are in KL watching a cantonese serial :P

All eat and no play is no good! HAha So Vance gave us a brief intro into yoga basics. Sounds good, feels good, doing it really made me realized i need to stretch more! Well, we are growing :) Interested parties let us know!

People sometimes contradict themselves. I believe you do too, even me. I guess it's a process to counter-balance our thoughts and desires, like a swinging podium. Don't blame me, i'm a libra after all. I always love to hear both sides of the story.

I'm part of the team that's never satisfied with life(proud/shame?). Why am i working so hard? Why am i not earning enough? You know, feeling disowned and unhappy, trying to pull fur outta fur coats. Constantly worrying what to wear, what shouldn't i wear, whether eating that extra piece of fry will kill me. Most of us, i guess, are totally covered with this buzzing thoughts, like mud slide 100 times over.

Time and time again, rain comes and clears the mud away. But are you aware? Well, usually we don't. Sooner after it rained, we are covered again by.. yes.... dark, choking thoughts of mud. The other day, i headed to Bugis to pray pray with my colleagues. Where most of us pray for good luck in work, exams, relationships(or some hot dates), i noticed one of my gal mate was closing her eyes, concentrating hard like she's reciting a verse.

I could almost see a break in her eye when i asked her what's wrong. Lets call her Ang. Ang is asking God to give her a positive feedback from her clinical result. As i have learnt, she used to have some kidney problems. But recently, it seemed to have a relapse again, after her check with the hospital. Some symptoms seemed to be showing, like bloatedness and urine colour. It's not the same anymore. I felt totally helpless when she started to cry. Ang, always so cheerful and beaming whether i see her, suddenly seemed like a withering being. All of a sudden, i wanted to become the tiniest living organism in the world.

Yes, that's right. Do we look broader than we should? Does earning brownie points get you that "ching" in life? I guess we are too busy to rethink again. Too busy deciding on who to dinner date with, how to buy that gorgeous tote that will make all envy. Stopping on your tracks now would be impossible. Any lag time and you will be left behind. Nobody waits anymore. I have yet to know Ang's results. I'm praying with all my heart that she will be fine. I want to see her smile that would brighter the moodiest weather.

Funny how everyone says the world is getting smaller, with all the technology. Yet it's getting more isolated. You might be chatting up with your new net friend from the other side of the world(maybe Japan? I love Jap boys!), who shares the same movie digs as you, yet you know nothing about that neighbor living 2 doors away. All worse, just opposite your front door.

Earlier i was taking the lift, and this friendly indian lady held the door for me. When i pressed my floor level(i live in HDB btw, apartment blocks), i was surprised she lives in the same level as me! Ok, there are about 6 families living in each level, and i only know some of them :S Shyness notwithstanding

Something snapped while conversing with my colleague today. I realized something about myself that i tend to brush off.

Though it's more about self-awareness.... this little point made me the way i am now, have been and probably the future. Why am i quite(or pretty much) a control freak? Why do everything doesn't seem to satisfy me? And why, am i never really happy...

Since secondary school, i have been making independent decisions. I meant, i believe i'm not the only one doing it. I'm not blaming my parents, i truly appreciate them and love them. Somehow, they couldn't really provide me with what i really need to move further up. My colleague was telling me, whose mum is self-employed(who are usually willing to face death and risk), how sometimes she gets little pieces of advices.

Sometimes, i wished i had an older sibling, so that i can seek advice, and possibly shelter. This realization somehow made me stronger.... and i know i will be. At least i know i'm not afriad to live alone.

Yes, these were the fruits used to play captain's ball in my company agency's retreat. Hahhaa.. together with 2 equally (in)sane colleagues, we planned out a series of games for our fellow members to tackle. The funniest would have to be the Captain's ball. People were throwing and passing around. People were catching and avoiding the fruits, which were easily smashed(we sunned them earlier to make them extra soggy!) Seeds were flying, people were having second thoughts of grabbing the fruits as they came midway, contents spilling everywhere. I was surprised the girls were quite active, even though they were screaming and yelling while holding whats left of the fruits! Cheers to us!

Well Well... Been pretty busy, adjusting to my new work schedule and stuff. Guess what? I'm closing cases again! Though it's more of CPF and investments, but it's a good start!! Finally broke the chain, feeling much happy..(though would be even happier if i found someone :P ok.. one at a time!)

Well last week had dinner with a few friends on my bday.. they were really sweet, bought a shirt for me. Actually i closed a case with it!!

Me and my Simei and Sidi managed to hit our company's target(Fastrack)!! Yes.. we ran like crazy, especially them and we all are heading bangkok next month for free with our dear manager(Really wanna thank him)!!! Yes, i can hardly wait to get out of here, though it's a bit too fast for us to save enough money to shop there!

When i say food issue, i really meant it hehe! Yup this is the sea food platter available at NEwYork! Newyork! HEh had dinner with my cousin Agatha and her family, before she was due to fly of on Sat to study at Germany. Yes the center thingy is a whole cold crab. It's not badz.. abit expensive though. Do try their ribs.. its more worth it :P YUMZ!

YES! Next stop Kushinbo! GOSh, it's like everyone turned into a hungry cow overnight and all my friends wanna do is eat! This time, our manager treated us this jap buffet. Ate quite a few times le, never get sick though. Their desserts are SHIOK. HAHha!

Went for martini cum Beef Sandwichy dinner at Oriental marina earlier. Had cinnamon appletini hehe ! Felt like a tai tai, seeping it and picking on the beef sandwich(FREEFLOW, yes FREEFLOW Sandwich). Yums.

The place is like an american bar... quiet, the staff are friendly(partly its a hotel?) and the lights are forgiving.. haha!

Virgin Mutton Chop

Have been dying to try it coz it looks like a bloody mess on a plate.. literally(partly due to the red sauce they used for the meat). Yes, they called it mutton chop, A localized indian-western dish uniquely available at those friendly prata coffee shops. Ordered mine at one near Cuppage today and was greeted by a pleasant sight(well.. partly coz it's $6 bucks).

The taste was quite good, alittle spicy, yet sweet and the mutton was in perfect bite sizes :) Love the garnishes, especially the peas.. the fries though.. seemed like they were sponges of oil!! All in all, it's gd! Minus the fries :P

Realized i miscalculated my countdown hehe.. one day slower :P (typical!!) Hmm... 3 days...
3 moments that i will cherish :) I wished i could captured them in pictures but i don't have..

1. The moment when i recieved the Top 10 advisors cert in my company
I never really achieve much in my career life, unless you count the employee of the month at Ubar years back! (faizah got it too :P Only becoz we were the only ones working ? HAha!) Yup, i was into about 5 months in as a financial adviser. The road was super bumpy, and it really was difficult. I had no warm market, didn't really ask my friends or family as i wanted to proof myself independent.
I almost gave up when i didn't clear my first case in my first month, where almost everybody, especially the girls, were closing multiple cases in their first days! So there i was working my butt off, think i cried afew times even, when my first few clients decided to cancel their plans. I had only garnered that much confidence when my pillars of hope(clients) turned on me. I guessed i was really patient, or i was mad, and i continued working. Till the time i was at Orchard doing roadshow when i closed about $10K worth of cases in 3 days.(that was like my production for 1 month) Luck turned and i was pushed up :)
I'm glad my colleagues were really supportive. As of now, i have reached another bump. Didn't close any cases for the past month. Feeling really stucked. My position as top 5 went to 13! Yes, thats how easy it is to slide down. I'm not crying, coz i know i will go through it no matter what.

2. When my ex and i exchanged our first kiss(oohh~~)
Yup, just in case some of you dont know already(shame on you!), i swing the other way. Haha! Yes, that moment was really funny and mind-bobbling. Then, the both us were in army and we were like almost best buddies, teasing each other, playing pranks. Never would i thought
it would happen as he plays soccer, games... you know, those typical Straight guys stuff.
So that particular night, we were fooling and wrestling around again , and somehow we ended in the toilet. And there i was, being pinned by him against the wall (OHH shut up you ppl!) I don't know what went over me, but i just told him i liked him. The feeling of rejection or outrage just never occur to me. And thank god... he replied he liked me too! That answer, even though was something i wanted to hear, i would never dreamed of in a million years! And just then we kissed... puppy love of all puppies. The feeling of emptiness just vanished right there....ironically, our army mates were unknowingly chilling out at their bunks outside, unaware of whats blooming in a place where boys were trained to BE men.

3. During Pass Out parade in NS when we searched for out parents midst the mass of army boys
Yes... that moment was so precious. We have finally graduated from BMT and all of us were standing in on this big marching square. There were hundreds of people. When we threw our hats to symbolise freedom(or good bye tekong!), the MC asked all the parents to come down from the viewing area to find their sons. Like everyone else, i was anxiously, almost frantically searching for my parents. As you know, we were all black, bald and wearing the same uniforms, so it was close to impossible for our parents to differentiate us hahaa! When i finally saw them, i gave them a bigggggggg hug and we just kept taking photos. Not much words were exchanged, only our eyes met, expressing much more than anything. Well, i totally missed them more than anything. Anyway, tougher times followed... haha! but i was really happy THEN :)

Waaa! Im happy. Today is a Sat.. and i din go club. Getting a bit bored of it, guys i meet there aren't mushy lovey chocolate chip cookies. What i have tasted (not the naughty notation) was like fried mars bar... Yeah the guilty, unhealthy little things. So here i am, at home none-the-less, nesting away.

This week pretty much went passed nonchalantly. I can hardly recap what i had for breakfast on Wednesday.... Hmm i didn't have any actually :P Writing rubbish now means onnly one thing.. Recently tried this new Rice roll thingy called QQ Rice. It's quite good, you choose the type of rice you want(brown,purple etc) then u choose a number of fillings to put inside and then the person will squeeze the whole thing to form..... a rice roll! lol..

We tried the purple rice roll.. and it's quite huge.. enough for a meal! Not bad le, just that the person din compact the rice enough, as the roll started to disintegrate when we hungrily munched over. Its quite healthy too! :P

Im gonna put here as a form of reminder. Din do very well last month hence.. i think i kanna kicked out of my fifth place! So im telling myself, Winson, this month no matter how or what, i gotta fucking get back up again! YEss!

Yawns August passed really fast... next month would be my.. *Faints* Birthday!! One year of my life passed ever so quickly, you feel neither happy nor sad, just glad u made it through another year. Lately things weren't going as well, like what many people say about the sales cycle.. it's an up and down thingy. When the waves are up, you gotta make the best with the surf. Yup, getting busy again..... Gotta do more production this month to make up for last month, which i sucked. Ironically, i was posting quite a bit then huh... lol! Apparently i have to hit this thing called Quality Club by September/October hopefully.. which needs $85000 AIPI. You don't have to know whats AIPI, just that currently im having $53000 AIPI. Been rainy suddenly these past few days, after the drought-like weather previously. Weather so cooling, seems to calm everyone down alittle :) Unknowingly, more than half the year has past, scary but true, did you noticed?

Its raining really heavily now(morning), total contrast from yesterday, whereby standing just afew seconds in the sun would sting you to the bones! It was freakingly hot and humid yesterday!!!! Someone told me, we would never appreciate such weather till we experience the extreme coldness of winter in other countries. But till then, Hot weather is still thumbs down!

Wee finally got lappy (Fujitsu). Black, Classy cool! Had durians at my director's house, super fresh from malaysia! One of my colleagues' dad owns a durian plantation over there, so there was like 45kg worth of it for our own agency(about 20+ ppl). Ate heartily though i'm still a little sick :P Here's their little pet Muffin, a super adorable Pug. They chose her coz of the breed's behaviour; little attention, doesn't bark, independent. Finally, i broke the egg today(close deal i meant). Half the month is almost gone, don't know what am i doing, at least the drive is starting to come back. Let's talk something random :) Eggs are beautiful, i love them, though we can't have them everyday, but they just taste so good don't they??!!

Eggs are like sex/lust, too much makes you high, yeah~~ high in cholesterol lol. Too little makes you crave for more (you horny bastard). Just right is just...... never enough! You can have it raw( nasty~~), you can have it real hard lol. But ultimately, it's still just an egg.... Something fragile, hardened shell, but a real softie inside. I love eggs.

Its almost the middle of July and i haven't closed a deal yet, possibly one of the longest time i haven't broken the egg. Surprisingly, I'm that not worry, where peoples' expectations are falling on me, time is running short etc, i seem to have other things on my mind.

I think i'm still a pony of sorts, too trusting in areas i should have known better. Maybe it doesn't matter to SOME people, they got what they wanted. I might have given some discount, i truly hope one day you know what's sincerity, coz you lack it quite abit.

Anyways, i need sleep..... hmm it's starting to get addictive again on these :)

Mr Simpsons and gang looked like little toys here eh... but they are actually life size dolls taken at Vivo where my agency and i were watching Gold Class transformers :)

Yawns, i just finished work.. am freaking tired. Still alittle down with flu and cough. My job's still kicking...Hmm let's see, got into Top 5 Rookie Advisor, and amazingly, i got the Bali incentive trip for being the Top 3 Advisors for May and last month. Ya, it's a never ending battle towards the finish line. You just can't stop and wait. maybe it's this line, competition is everyone's middle name. But no worries, i'm still me, still waiting for that knight, still rolling like J lo :P

Work is almost 90% now, sleep accounts 8, the other 2, well, friends.. clubbing to destress myself. Theres never enough time, everybody wants a share. Maybe i neglected a few, im seriously sorry, and i dont know how to say.... too soon too eager, we saw too little, shifting away could only mean one thing.

Its Funny how i got the little crown(read tiara) and a sash while i went on stage for my company's monthly Top 10 thingy. It seemed so Missy Universe, ppl clapping and u achieving something wonderful. Just the other day before all that, i was telling my friend how it would be if it was a gay company, like how we would wear tiaras and flowers. Well, It partially came true!!!
